Registered Psychotherapist

Education and Experience

I started my career path serving in ministry positions, including children’s, youth/young adult, women’s and outreach ministries. It was during this time that I recognized the need for people to receive professional help through counselling.

I also worked in the health and wellness field and pursued schooling in holistic nutrition, earning certification in this area. This experience further revealed to me the need for counselling, as eating is often closely tied to emotional health and stress.  It can also be beneficial to recognize the impact of nutrition on mood and emotions.

I completed a Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) in Counselling and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling (MDIV). I continue to pursue training in various modalities and attend mental health-focused seminars. With my theological background, I am especially interested in serving people within faith communities.

I am registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Hi, I’m Rochelle. It would be my honour to meet you and hear your story! I am curious, compassionate, and truly believe that therapy can be a transformative space in people’s lives. I take a person-centered approach to therapy, which means our sessions are focused on you and what you want to explore.

My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, attachment theory, family systems and emotion-focused therapy. For clients interested, Christian counselling can also be incorporated.

With couples, I utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method.
